Skeleton crafts

from:

Halloween is a great time for decorating, so you will want to make some great craft items to decorate your home, and some of the skeleton crafts we have to offer you will add that extra special touch to your Halloween décor. Skeleton crafts are easy to make and can range from complicated to very easy. Since making Halloween crafts should ideally be a family activity, we’ll give you a couple of ideas for skeleton crafts that the whole family can enjoy!

One of the easiest and most creative skeleton crafts you can make can be done by even the smallest of family members who have the dexterity to handle glue. What you will need to begin with for these skeleton craft pages is black construction paper and various types of dry noodles (elbow macaroni, shell macaroni, spaghetti, and spiral noodles). You may also want to include some lima beans in this project for the skeleton’s head, hips, and thorax.

Then, just use some craft glue and form a skeleton from the various supplies. For example, the ribs are best made out of elbow macaroni. The lima beans make great heads. The spiral noodles work well as arms and legs. Creativity is the key, and it might be a good idea for you to make one of your own before setting the kids out on their own. All they need to do is glue the macaroni to the paper and make the shape of a skeleton.

For more complicated skeleton crafts, there’s nothing more beautiful than skeleton luminaries lighting the path to your front door on trick or treat night. These are made from simple brown paper lunch bags along with a few other supplies. Those supplies include Styrofoam trays that you can get from your local meat department at the grocery store, a craft stick, some black paint, sand, and candles in glass containers.

You begin by making a skeleton design in the Styrofoam tray with the craft stick or even an X-Acto knife. Once you have your skeleton cut out, roll it with the black paint and press down on the inside of the lunch bag. Press hard and make sure you have complete coverage. Fill the bottom of the bag with sand and place the candle in the glass container inside the sand. Light the candle and see how pretty it looks – but scary at the same time!

Making skeleton crafts is fun and very much in keeping with the Halloween season! Have fun and use your imagination – see what you can come up with on your own and make skeleton crafts that you can hand down for generations!
