There are all sorts of web sites that offer free kids Halloween crafts for children of all ages. Crafting is a favorite hobby for a lot of people. When you involve your children, you are not only spending quality time with them, you are creating works of art that you can use to decorate your home for the holiday and turn it into a festive celebration of All Hallows Eve. Here are some free kids Halloween crafts you may want to start with.
This one is really easy. Take a balloon and blow it up. Then, place it inside a large white plastic garbage bag. Tie a string around the bottom of the balloon to make a neck and draw on a scary or funny face. You will, of course, probably want to hang your ghost somewhere, so make a hole in the top of the bag and insert a string for hanging. Make several of these and hang them from your trees outside so they can blow in the wind. If you are going to be hanging these outside, you will want to use a permanent magic marker to draw your face on.
Another one of the great free kids Halloween crafts we found is a spooky hanging bat. For this easy craft, you’ll need a clean egg carton, some black paint, a pair of scissors, a piece of string or yarn, and either white paint or purchased googly eyes. Cut out three egg cups keeping them attached together. Take the scissors and cut out the front and back of the two outside egg cups. These are your bat’s wings. Paint the bat black. On the inside cup, draw on a face or glue on the googly eyes. Poke a hole in the top of the inside cup and knot your string. Make the knot bit enough that it won’t come through the hold. Weave the string through the hole and hang your bats everywhere!
The best part about free kids Halloween crafts is – well – that they are free! The Internet is a great resource for a lot of things, and finding free kids Halloween crafts is just one of the ways the Internet will benefit you. Often, these crafts use household items or items that you can purchase for very little money. Once you find some free kids Halloween crafts that you want to try, sit down with your child and have fun crafting together. Then place your projects all around the house or outside and be proud of what you have created – together!
