Free Halloween crafts for kids

from:

One of the best parts of Halloween, or any holiday for that matter, is making crafts for decorations, and when it comes to finding free Halloween crafts for kids, you have a lot of places that you can go to for ideas. The Internet has so many places you can for free Halloween crafts for kids. Once you have the ideas in your head, you can then use your creativity and imagination to make them even better. Here are a couple to get you started:

One of the easiest of the free Halloween crafts for kids that I’ve found involves a simple egg carton, a pair of scissors, and some black paint. Take and cut out three egg cups from a clean egg carton – keep them attached too! The two outside cups need to have the front and back cut out of them – these are your bat wings. Paint all of the cups black and then either add googly eyes or paint on eyes with white paint to the middle cup. Punch a hole in the top of the middle cup. Take a piece of string and make a sturdy knot that won’t slip through the hole. Put the string in the hole and hang your bats from wherever you can think of. If you use waterproof paint and a Styrofoam egg carton, you can even decorate your trees outside.

Another idea for free Halloween crafts for kids is to make scary balloon ghosts that you can hang either inside or outside as well. Start with two white plastic bags you can get from the grocery store or Wal-Mart. Cut off the handles as well as any writing on the outside of the bag. Starting from the bottom (away from the seam), use scissors to cut the bottom into 1 inch shreds stopping about 1 inch from the seam. Blow up the balloon and make a knot in it to keep it inflated. With the knot at the top, tape one bag to the back side of the balloon and one bag to the front. I like to use black duct tape because it holds better. Draw a scary face on your ghost and tie a string around the knot and hang from wherever you want. You can make it even more fun to hang a few bells from the bottom of your ghost to hear it haunt in the breeze!

You can find tons and tons more ideas for free Halloween crafts for kids on the Internet, but our favorite website is www.enchantedlearning.com. There, you can get a lot of diverse ideas not only for Halloween but for other holidays as well!
